I know that I haven't been around for a bit...but we're back from Europe and ready to back to work. Actually, I can't believe I was able to come up with a shoot as I'm suffering from a serious bout of jet lag right now. Lucky for me I purchased this mask from Patricia Field before the trip and I now present it to you as my crazy interpretation of fashionable riot gear!

I got this bow tie from the tie bar for my birthday. This is the second one that has been added to my repertoire...I guess I should learn how to tie one, but why bother when the casual look of this unkempt tie looks so good!

STUFFY SOPHISTICATED SOCIALITE/h&m top hat

Although I feel like an interactive billboard for h&m with this outfit, I love this top hat. I have always wanted one and I could never really find one that I liked...until this one appeared on a recent shopping trip. With no tags, this great piece was hanging on a rack as if it was meant for me to find it! 

You don't have to be the Mad Hatter or even a stuffy sophisticated socialite to wear a top hat...and please don't be one that will only wear a top hat to a wedding (no offense if you happen to be one that has). Dressed up or down, a top hat is a must-have accessory. Next time I'll let my nerd flag fly and strap some goggles on for a steam-punk look.

"Standard issue street soldier..." If you have ever see The Chase from the 90's then you know what I'm talking about. Henry Rollins was actually pretty funny in a movie that wasn't setting any box office records. But I have to give credit where credit is due, any man that can get it on with Kristy Swanson while leading cops on a high-speed chase towards the Mexican border, definitely has skills...I tip my hat to you Charlie Sheen. 

I've always wanted some camo pants and I must admit that I have been pushing off that purchase until I saw these Jordan Craig cargo pants courtesy of Jack Threads. But if you are looking for something to hide you in the sprawling urban jungle then look elsewhere...I can still see myself in these pics...

PLAGUING THE MASSES/nicholas k elliot pant

I am not one to wear shorts...they are just not for me, as more often than not, some guy is wearing some poorly constructed short that is baggy, ill-fitted, and looks horrible. Plus, I am a former soccer player and I was forced to wear shorts so perhaps in the back of my mind I feel that they serve a purpose; therefore, with me no longer playing soccer there's no need to wear shorts... Enter the Nicholas K Elliot Pant, it's not a short as it is obviously classified as a pant, but how great is it?! Dressed up or down and perfectly fitted these pants are amazing. You want to separate yourself from the epidemic that plagues the masses, these are a necessity!

 These have to be a pair of my favorite shoes...I say that now, but I do have my eye on a pair of Aigle boots that I think will be awesome for this Fall (yeah, I'm already planning that far ahead).  I really like the studs that cover these shoes and whenever I where these I don't want to cover the tongue just so I can show off the plaque.

The Edun tee was a really cool find as it was a freebie given away at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver. Who gives a away Edun clothing? MCA Denver does! 

I love watches...not really sure why...I just do! I try to buy a watch on every trip I take so that I can remember the experience. This Marea watch was purchased in Barcelona and every time I wear it I am reminded that I need to get my stuff together so I can move there.
