Can you think of any better way to combat this summer heat than by wearing a ballistic sytle vest, a scarf and a snap back hat?  I can't, but it sure does look good...sometimes you just have to deal with it.

I made an observation today about my wardrobe... it's not summer friendly. It's a closet full of jackets, blazers, denim, sweaters, boots and anything else that screams, 'This is not for summer fool!' Oh well, I guess I just wasn't meant to live on a beach or any other place that has over 75 degree weather...It goes without saying, it comes to no surprise as to why I would purchase a Demobaza scarf that should be delivered this week... I'm still trying to figure out how I'll be able to pull that off in August.

I just received these denim pants from a recent online shopping spree. I love the rough, raw feeling and the dirty bleached treatment is amazing! See that dark tunnel in the shot? ...that's the manifestation of the long standing feud between me, glitter and sequins. Let's just say we don't see 'eye to eye.'

I am a fan of the cool snap backs that have been making an appearance lately...not the sports ones, but I'm talking about the ones with spikes...the ones adorned with metal plates or the ones that spell out "Y$L" or any other sweet phrase. I found this one while surfing the ebay listings and I loved that it spells "WOLF" and I love these crazy metal bolts attaching it to the hat!

When I wear it...all of a sudden I hear the lyrics to "Hungry Like The Wolf" by Duran Duran.

Another zara scarf? Sure...but this one I was purchased in Madrid and every time I wear it, I'm reminded of that that trip. It was that last minute trip that took us to Barcelona, Valencia and Madrid, that I realized...Barcelona is my home. I loved it there! The tee is a find that's courtesy of My Habit.  

I have to say that this Labor Day weekend has been great! I finally have resurrected my bike and she's running better that ever. So, I've spent the past days riding around and enjoying every minute.  Now it's project time round 2, FIGHT! I have been envisioning my bike being transformed into this hybrid cafe/street fighter. And now it's time to get to work!

I am not one to wear shorts...they are just not for me, as more often than not, some guy is wearing some poorly constructed short that is baggy, ill-fitted, and looks horrible. Plus, I am a former soccer player and I was forced to wear shorts so perhaps in the back of my mind I feel that they serve a purpose; therefore, with me no longer playing soccer there's no need to wear shorts... Enter the Nicholas K Elliot Pant, it's not a short as it is obviously classified as a pant, but how great is it?! Dressed up or down and perfectly fitted these pants are amazing. You want to separate yourself from the epidemic that plagues the masses, these are a necessity!

I can't say I have been the biggest fan of Boulder, so when  Amanda asked me about joining in on a quick trip with her family there, I must admit I did cringe a little...But, I can say that I am glad I went, I had a an amazing time! Drinking absinthe at Absinthe House and pizza at Pizzeria Locale...can it be any better? Possibly...because next time it's Frasca.

Dollhouse vacancy showed me this awesome print of YSL on a tee a while ago and on our trip to Paris we walked into Remix Line and there it was... originally found on a tee that wasn't in my size but the cool part was that they made me my own with a tee of my choice...20 minutes later and it was mine! Sorry, Denver...step it up! We need a shop just as cool. The only gun prints I like are the ones by Andy Warhol and now this print using a gun for the "L."

Motorcycle helmets are a great prop. I like seeing an editorial spread using a motorcycle helmet...there's something very futuristic about it. Case in point; next time you see a sci-fi movie I guarantee the soldier or security force in the movie will be wearing a motorcycle styled helmet. Hell, they may even just be wearing a straight up motorcycle helmet...Equilibrium anyone? An awesome movie by the way.

The motorcycle pants and shirt are from H&M. I really like the washed denim and finishing of these jeans. They have this rough and rugged look that I love. The shirt has this red inside lining along the color giving it this great contrast against the grey. Perhaps in a later post I'll give a better look at it.

The boots are washed leather by Bruno Bordese. These boots are so great, they deserve a post of their own. Stay tuned ...
