So, there are some great neon signs in our neighborhood and I spent one night taking a few pictures of the signs that lined the street from old motels, music venues and car lots ...they are such relics of the past. I mean, everywhere we go now it's all about LED lighting or some kind of outdoor screen allowing businesses to play customized videos to advertise their goods. I'm not one to complain, and I'm one to fantasize of a modern city looking like some kind of dystopian future found in Ridley Scott's Bladerunner with images of attractive women advertising products and the obligatory product placement of Coke...I have to admit I'm more of a Pepsi person if I had to choose.

Every night I stare out of my bedroom window and see this used cars sign. I love the way it looks, there's just something about it. It's amazing...not to mention it happens to be on the old car lot once belonging to Amanda's father!

ALMOST LIKE MCQUEEN/avelon pop jeans

I still can't get enough of these Avelon pop jeans...dressed up, dressed down, it doesn't matter they still look good. I fell asleep in them the other day, so I woke up looking good! I don't wear this wasitcoat very often, but it's a great one! I bought it in Paris and Amanda thought I had to add it to my wardrobe as it was very Mcqueen...and she was right! 

These Carrera sunglasses are my new accessory of the season...and yes, I fell asleep wearing them as well.

BACK IN BLACK/zuriick spina boots

I've seen these Zuriick boots before and I this time I finally made the move to purchase them...which was more of an technological glitch, but I can't say I regret it and I like them even more in person! So, I placed these boots in my online shopping cart and just expected to think of any reason why I shouldn't buy them...we have all been here before, the impulse purchase and before making the move, the thoughts of why you shouldn't do this dance through your head. Since I figured I had some time to ponder the reality of purchasing these boots, I'm sure you could imagine my surprise when I looked at my phone to see an alert thanking me for my purchase! 

It was as though these boots were telling me that they wanted to come see me. (note to self...don't save a card number on a frequently visited site again.) With only the ability to modify the shipping address...it was as though it was meant to be.

I got this bow tie from the tie bar for my birthday. This is the second one that has been added to my repertoire...I guess I should learn how to tie one, but why bother when the casual look of this unkempt tie looks so good!

If you haven't seen the Maison Martin Margeila for H&M collection yet...then why are you reading this?! You need to go there now and check it out!  Sure, it's a rehash of past collections, but for this to be brought to H&M with such amazing detail and craftsmanship is absolutely amazing! 

So, I'm sure you are wondering what I bought? I have opted for something a bit different...it's a garment bag from the collection worn as a scarf. Complete with all the numbers counting down to the release of the collection. Now, if I could just get that belt jacket...things would be complete.

It's not like I have a lot of experience in the wedding department. I just heard somewhere that you shouldn't upstage anyone in the wedding party (Amanda told me that)...Actually, all of my wedding etiquette knowledge comes from Amanda, who does well to keep in informed of the proper do's and don'ts. One "do" would have been attending the Bassnectar concert that was taking place at the exact same time as the wedding at Red Rocks...Perhaps I should mention that the wedding was also at Red Rocks (Would it be wrong to say that my mind was more focused on that?) So in keeping it simple, and hearing "Yo" by Bassnector playing in my head,  I opted for a black suit and white button down for our friends wedding. This might just be my wedding attending outfit! Suit, shirt, done!...maybe I'll switch it up next time and wear brown shoes.

BLEEDING HEART/royal elastics

Confluence Park has to be one of the best areas in Denver. I walk up and down the16th street mall daily and it's easy to forget about some of the cool things Denver has to offer like the Contemporary Art Museum...it's not a modern marvel like the Denver Art Museum and it's placed on the corner of street where you would pass by and not give it a second look except it has a giant bleeding heart sculpture right out front...so, that's a little hard to miss. But, does it make it less attractive than the Denver Art Museum? NO! It's just as amazing! ...and I've never received a free Edun tee at the DAM.

Playing down the suit with a more casual look which worked great for these Royal Elastics sneakers...sure, maybe I bought them to fill the void in my heart for the Givenchy Arctic Padded Sneakers being sold out everywhere in my size but I must say...I really like them!
