ALMOST LIKE MCQUEEN/avelon pop jeans

I still can't get enough of these Avelon pop jeans...dressed up, dressed down, it doesn't matter they still look good. I fell asleep in them the other day, so I woke up looking good! I don't wear this wasitcoat very often, but it's a great one! I bought it in Paris and Amanda thought I had to add it to my wardrobe as it was very Mcqueen...and she was right! 

These Carrera sunglasses are my new accessory of the season...and yes, I fell asleep wearing them as well.

I've been putting off getting new glasses for a while and I'm not sure why...It quickly became one of those projects that you say you'll get to but never do. Then I stumbled upon Warby Parker...a site full of vintage inspired glasses. The cool part is that you get to pick some and in a few days they are at your door for you to enjoy for the next five days! After the trial period, return online and place your order.

It's not like I'm blind or anything...I describe my need for glasses as if someone sprayed Windex on my world, just like when you use the squeegee at the gas station on your windshield or making the move to HDTV.

I haven't had to make a decision this hard in a while...but then I thought 'why settle for just one pair?' I could get two or three...I could change them like my clothes or an added accessory. Even now I'm still trying to decide which ones I like best, but even if I never come to a decision, it's a good thing I ordered contacts.

Although I feel like an interactive billboard for h&m with this outfit, I love this top hat. I have always wanted one and I could never really find one that I liked...until this one appeared on a recent shopping trip. With no tags, this great piece was hanging on a rack as if it was meant for me to find it! 

You don't have to be the Mad Hatter or even a stuffy sophisticated socialite to wear a top hat...and please don't be one that will only wear a top hat to a wedding (no offense if you happen to be one that has). Dressed up or down, a top hat is a must-have accessory. Next time I'll let my nerd flag fly and strap some goggles on for a steam-punk look.

I love these glasses that were found during a recent trip to NYC. They remind me of the Maison Martin Margiela L'incognito sunglasses. I feel like Jayden in Heavy Rain wearing the Augmented Reality Glasses he uses during his crime scene investigations. The holster wallet was discovered at Patricia Field in NYC as well. I have wanted one of these for a long time and finally, I have it!

Do you have something that takes you to another place, like to your own world that you have created? I picture my world like that of the grid in Tron, or even like Blade Runner (I love that movie!). This RAF Simmons piece makes me think of some sci-fi future movie and I am now obsessed with owning more RAF Simons... jackets, shorts, shoes... I need more! I finally understand Amanda's obsession with Marc Jacobs...I too have found mine, that piece that takes me to my own world and makes it is as real as I want it to be.

Bittersweet, an amazing restaurant here in Denver. If you are ever in the area it's something that should be added to your "to do list." Amanda and I had some time to burn before the reservation so we stopped to do a shoot. I look at these pics and it makes me feel like I'm looking through some security video feed. I like parking garages....kind of a weird statement, sure...but, I like the raw industrial feel of concrete and the ominous lighting that these structures create.

This look reminds me of a spread I saw in an issue of Surface Magazine. I just remember how the stylist dressed up the typical casual look of a motorcycle jacket. Sure, the Surface spread used Armani motorcycle style leather jackets and Ducati motorcycles, but here's my interpretation. The credit should go to Amanda who thought that dressing this jacket up would be cool. I was surprised to hear her suggest this because she doesn't even like this jacket. To be honest this jacket has been hanging up in my room for a while now waiting for me to ride my bike again one day. I have been in one of those never ending project modes, you know the type...the ones where you have this great idea to work on something, but it just never happens. But, if anyone tells you that you can't make 1/4 inch bright green leather look good...tell him or her it's just not true! All you need is a great button down and a Tumi messenger bag and you're set.
