RIDE/icon elsinore boots

It's about that time of the year when I take that last ride before filling the gas tank with Sea Form and placing the battery on a tender only to fill the air with the low hum of electricity and provide the battery with a steady stream of nutrients while awaiting the world around me to unthaw.

I know...she's old, the bike that is, but she's mine and I can't bring myself to replace her. She even bares the scars of the tough times we've been through. Although temperamental at times, she is still true to me. So I keep her and each time I pull back the choke, turn the ignition key and press the starter and the loud roar of the engine rings in my ears I still smile like it was the first time we met.

Remember, safety first kids...although, you don't see it in the pics, I do wear a helmet whenever I ride.

UNPOLISHED/h&m biker jacket

I love this jacket! There's just something about it...I need another, but in a rough leather. I don't want it to look perfect and polished. If you know of any, let me know!

THE BLAIR PROJECT/selma tee

I bought this tee at the Marc Jacobs store on our recent trip to LA...That trip was a lot of fun! I need to get back to there!  This tee was part of a collaboration Brian Bowen Smith with the launch of his book, Projects...OK, so that was my 'fun fact' of the day, but let's get back to what really matters, Selma Blair is on my shirt...'oh yeah.'

Check out Dollhouse Vacancy here. SEE/femme

DRIVEN/maison martin margiela belt jacket

SEE/femme

I bought the last of the Margiela for H&M pieces I wanted the other day...I know what I'm about to say may sound crazy, but it's the truth... While there was a mad scramble all over the country for these Maison Martin Margiela pieces for H&M, here in Denver it was business as usual. It was so calm here you could just walk in walk straight up to anything you wanted and purchase it without even a tussle.

These shots were taken inside my new toy! I have been a fan of BMW's since my youth and I have no greater love for any other car than this. Once you drive one, you understand why it's, "The ultimate driving machine." I let go of my Audi A4 as I had to follow my heart and my heart beats Bayerische Motoren Werke AG.

I was inspired by that movie "Drive, " which is a must see if you haven't already! The cinematography, the music, absolute perfection.

BLEEDING HEART/royal elastics

Confluence Park has to be one of the best areas in Denver. I walk up and down the16th street mall daily and it's easy to forget about some of the cool things Denver has to offer like the Contemporary Art Museum...it's not a modern marvel like the Denver Art Museum and it's placed on the corner of street where you would pass by and not give it a second look except it has a giant bleeding heart sculpture right out front...so, that's a little hard to miss. But, does it make it less attractive than the Denver Art Museum? NO! It's just as amazing! ...and I've never received a free Edun tee at the DAM.

Playing down the suit with a more casual look which worked great for these Royal Elastics sneakers...sure, maybe I bought them to fill the void in my heart for the Givenchy Arctic Padded Sneakers being sold out everywhere in my size but I must say...I really like them!

LIKE CASUAL FRIDAY/asos black waffle knit top

This here is my casual look...where would I wear it?...where wouldn't I wear it! Actually, I could think of a few places it may not necessarily be appropriate, but I must admit that I didn't think I could like lounge pants as much as these...and paired with this ASOS Black waffle knit overly long top is great.

...Yes, I'm still mad at you XBOX and currently selling every article of gaming paraphernalia associated with it.

THIS IS FINISHED/raf simons velcro sweatshirt

I said that I would do a post for this awesome RAF Simons top and here it is! Velcro in the front and in the back! Give me more RAF Simons!

It's video game Sunday...Not only is this a post about this velcro fleece top, but it's also a farewell...to XBOX. Sure, there may be some true die-hard fans out there, but I need to come to terms with this situation. I have been cheated out of my hard earned money numerous times by Microsoft. I fell for your spell with Halo, but no more will I pretend that the system you have released is superior to that of the PS3. I say that as Amanda's nephews came over today to enjoy a day of video games and while my Playstation started up like that old faithful piece of machinery, like the old Detroit cars of yesteryear...my XBOX 360 presented me with the "red rings of death" for the last time...how many, is this? Number 5, number 6? ...I'm done! Sure, you could say,  "Why don't I get one of the new ones in black?"...Yeah, the new ones that have been redesigned to fix the problem... Well, why should I? It's the principle of the situation...XBOX, I'm done! It's not me, it's you!

LOST.../jack & jones jacket

Suffering from the affects of jet lag and allergies...waking up in middle of the night I've passed the time drinking wine and marathon episodes of Star Trek Enterprise provided courtesy of an Amazon Prime membership that after the free trial I forgot to cancel. But, I can't complain as I've enjoyed the free 2 day shipping on purchases and now I can access a huge library of movies and shows streamed directly through my PS3 in glorious HD. So, now unable to sleep and feeling the affects of multiple glasses of wine, which is not having the effect I wanted because I just want to sleep; I emerged from my loft to bring these pics that Amanda and I took over the weekend. The jacket is by Jack & Jones which I discovered in Jeans & Co., a store in Geneva, Switzerland. It wasn't until sharing drinks at a great pizzeria overlooking Lake Geneva I realized that I must have it. Amanda and I braved a torrential downpour for me to be able to transact and make this piece mine and now I share it with you.

Pics of our trip will come soon, so keep it locked...

LUCKY/juicy couture wax denim blazer

Happy birthday Amanda and Shannon! To celebrate we went to a new place that opened up on the cool side of 16th St Mall...if you have been to Denver then you know the side I'm talking about. The place is called Lucky Pie...If you like your food fresh and made in-house, then this is the place for you, and if you like pizza then this really is the place for you. I rescinded a decision to give up pizza (one of my favorite foods) for a while in order to try the pie and it was well worth it! If you are in Denver, it's definitely worth a try...don't worry Buenos Aires Pizza, you're still my favorite...

The barely seen RAF Simons velcro shirt will be featured later...I promise.

A NEW YORK STORY/topman trench

Here's a not so typical trench. I found this piece at Topman in New York. I was walking through the store and rummaging through one item after another just looking to see what spoke to me and there was this trench.. It's as if it called out to me... I like how it's finished in the striking white bias tape. It's a trench of the future. I still love the standard tan colored trench, but this one really makes a statement. Buttoned, tied or even draped on my shoulders (I kind of feel like Lando in the Empire Strikes Back...sorry, nerd moment).

The rest of this look is primarily H&M. The sweater, plaid shirt and the tie were all found at the Swedish Hennes & Mauritz store we all love.

The shoes are from F21. They are easy to throw on, easy to wear and (surprisingly) always look great.

ARMY OF ONE/lacoste futur 2 sneaker

When I saw this blazer I had to have it! Sure, the military look has been done before, but when has it ever gone out of style? I don't know about you but I love military style, whether it be vintage or some modern interpretation. The blazer you see before you was a birthday gift, courtesy of yours truly...that's right, the creative mind behind Dollhouse Vacancy, Amanda. Thank you, Amanda! As soon as I saw it I knew I just had to have it. Truth be told, I may be a bit biased in my love of military styling. One could even say I am predisposed to liking all things military. It's a part of who I am, my father was in the military and with me growing up in it, it was all I knew...So, yes, OD green is my favorite color.

EVERYTHING MOSS/diesel houndstooth jacket

These Paper Denim jeans have been through some rough times. I've worn them into the ground as they are one of my favorite pairs. There's just something so comforting about them, plus the fit is great!

This Diesel jacket doesn't see the light of day very much. I'm not sure why, because it's such a great piece! With a little time to kill before a Diana Krall concert, Amanda and I happened to stop by the local Diesel store. To our surprise the store was having a huge sale as they were moving to a new location. Whether or not you can consider moving from one side of the mall to the other a big move is beside the point. The fact remains, we scored a great deal on some Diesel pieces. Sadly, this event has never been recreated...

Will the real Kate Moss please stand up... wait, you are and you're on my shirt. I found this cool tee at Urban Outfitters. Cotton tee, triptych print of Kate Moss topless...SOLD!

CYCLE TECH/tumi tech messenger

This look reminds me of a spread I saw in an issue of Surface Magazine. I just remember how the stylist dressed up the typical casual look of a motorcycle jacket. Sure, the Surface spread used Armani motorcycle style leather jackets and Ducati motorcycles, but here's my interpretation. The credit should go to Amanda who thought that dressing this jacket up would be cool. I was surprised to hear her suggest this because she doesn't even like this jacket. To be honest this jacket has been hanging up in my room for a while now waiting for me to ride my bike again one day. I have been in one of those never ending project modes, you know the type...the ones where you have this great idea to work on something, but it just never happens. But, if anyone tells you that you can't make 1/4 inch bright green leather look good...tell him or her it's just not true! All you need is a great button down and a Tumi messenger bag and you're set.
